Katheryn Murray was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. A second-generation dog person, her parents, Michelle and Peter Scott, enjoyed successful careers as all-breed handlers as well as breeders of Standard and Miniature Poodles, Lakeland Terriers, and Maltese. Today, they are successfully judging around the world. Kate spent her formative years deeply immersed in the world of dog shows, where she served as her parents' assistant. After school, she contributed to the kennel operations, gaining invaluable experience across all aspects of showing and breeding.
Taking a brief hiatus from the dog world and venturing into the equestrian realm, Kate worked in a stable. Training show jumpers, and competing in dressage. However, she returned to dogs to apprentice for Will Alexander, known for showcasing many of Canada's top dogs, including a Westminster Best in Show winner.

She also worked for her sister, Chrystal Murray, and Chrystal's husband, Paul Clas, who are known for campaigning numerous top-winning dogs, including the Westminster Best in Show winning Standard Poodle, "Siba."

These skills include grooming and coat care for various breeds, physical conditioning, training, addressing emotional and mental needs, ring preparation, and showcasing dogs in the ring.
Additionally, her expertise extends to the comprehensive care and management of dogs at home and during the rigors of the show circuit.
